The government is also actively promoting advance care planning and has introduced the Mental Capacity Act in 2010 and launched the Lasting Power of Attorney in Singapore in the same year. 

Most importantly, everyone needs an advance care plan. And your clients are looking to you to guide and direct them in the right direction! What this course is about

Basics of Advance Care Planning is a proprietary course specially developed to equip the participants with basic knowledge of advance care planning in Singapore so that they can understand the fundamental concepts related to advance care planning and why knowledge on the Advance Care Planning Workbook, Lasting Power of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directive, are so important and integral to financial planning. 

Throughout this course, the trainer will share real-life case studies to illustrate the concepts related to advance planning. The content in this course is supported by real-life cases, all of which were personally encountered by the trainer in his professional and personal capacity. By sharing these real-life cases, the participants can also better appreciate the importance of advance care planning and in turn share

This course is opened to all registered and licensed Financial Advisors and Consultants, bankers, investment professionals, family office professionals, lawyers, accountants, and real estate salespersons.

Course Fee:

Course fee per participant is S$300, which covers the course materials. Participants who complete this course and the Basics of Estate Planning will be invited to join as an Affiliate. The annual fee for being an Affiliate is S$88 per annum. Please note that the annual fee for being an Affiliate is not covered under the subsidy. This Affiliate fee may be waived in the following year upon attainment of prescribed production level.

This course is recognised under the Financial Training Scheme (FTS) and is eligible for FTS claims subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

Please note that in no way does this represent an endorsement of the quality of the training provider and course. Participants are advised to assess the suitability of the course and its relevance to his/her business activities or job roles.

The FTS is available to eligible entities based on the prevalent funding eligibility, quantum and caps. FTS provides 30% course fee subsidy support for direct training costs subject to a cap of S$500 per candidate per course subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

Participants should also know what the Advance Care Planning Workbook, Lasting Power of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directive, are.With this acquired knowledge, the participants should be equipped to, at least, start meaningful conversations on advance care planning with their clients.Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to lead their clients to family-friendly solutions related to advance care planning. The participants will also receive the necessary practical knowledge and have access to the best advance care planning tools to meet the unique needs to their clients.

Attend 1 day of Wills and Advance Care Planning training. We share relevant knowledge and case studies from our direct experience.There will be a 1 hour assessment included. Candidates will have to pass the assessment to properly qualify as an Affiliate. We will then show you how and what to share with your clients.
Course fee per participant is S$300, which covers the course materials. Participants who complete this course and the Basics of Estate Planning will be invited to join as an Affiliate. The annual fee for being an Affiliate is S$88 per annum. This Affiliate fee may be waived in the following year upon attainment of prescribed production level. This course is IBF-accredited and eligible participants may apply for the relevant subsidies.
